The main part of LANXESS' inorganic yellow pigments are manufactured using the Penniman or precipitation process at the company's plants in Krefeld-Uerdingen, Jinshan and Porto Feliz. Yellow iron oxide pigments generally have a needle-shaped particle structure. In addition, their thermal stability is lower than that of red pigments and the like.
LANXESS has successfully overcome these standard properties to develop a range of excellent yellow pigments that offer good added value after processing. They include products such as Colortherm® Yellow 10 and Colortherm® Yellow 20, which can be treated to increase their thermal stability, or Colortherm® Yellow 30 and Colortherm® Yellow 3950, both of which are zinc ferrites, which also have higher thermal stability).
Bayferrox iron oxide has the following characteristics:
1. Excellent acid and alkali resistance, light resistance, weather resistance and heat resistance.
2. Insoluble in water, mineral oil, vegetable oil and organic solvent, no color bleeding.
3. It does not affect the vulcanization process of rubber products, and has a reinforcing effect on the products.
4. Excellent dispersion properties
5. Stable quality, small color difference between batches.
